Our original 8 yard containers, long since retired from service. While handy, they were just a little bit too small. Since then we have focused on 12 and 20 yard roll off containers. |

Why having a big mess of pallets lying around can be a bad idea.
Site of an arson fire in the SE of Calgary 2004. They're lucky this didn't end up alot worse... |

A view of the basement on one job we were servicing (not a staged shot). In fact, there were entire rooms that were hidden behind 40 years worth of collected "stuff". As of today, that job still holds the record for the most container loads from a single residence:
Seventeen 12 cubic yard containers (yes, seventeen loads!) |

While the Cummins 5.9L is normally an extremely reliable engine, in Nov 2005 we had an engine failure in our Freightliner FL70 that necessitated an inframe rebuild of this diesel engine. Unfortunately, the truck would not fit into our shop at that time, so we strung a bunch of tarps up and replaced the main bearings, pistons, rings, connecting rod bearings, and cylinder head...all in -20 weather. Fun times! |

One thing about owning trucks...it's never boring. Kim welding up some damage on the Dodge back in 2005. That sure was a hard year on our trucks. |

Why (when you're finished pressure washing the engine) you should always remove the plastic bag covering the air filter BEFORE starting a diesel.
Oops! |

Another fun day: Winter 2005
A big bang from the back end, and a bunch of chewed up spider gears in the differential gears.
See? Told you trucking was fun! |

You know...I think we could have fit a few more containers at those houses!
Summer 2007 we had 3 jobsites all beside one another on the same street. It was really awesome driving in and being met with a sea of blue containers! |

All in a days work...Unit 06 shuffling cans on a busy street. The can in front was blocked by several vehicles (as was the opposite side of the street and the space behind the rearmost can). After much maneuvering and turning, we finally managed to get the rear container down, with barely enough room to fit the truck in between.
That's when everybody decided to leave in their cars at once, freeing up the entire block. Figures... |
