Asphalt Shingles
|
Asphalt Shingles, both new trimmings and re-roof tearoffs. Most roofs are a candidate for recycling.
This is one program we are strongly encouraging our clients to take advantage of.
|
12 or 20 yard container can be used. There are savings to be had for loads that are properly segregated. Please call for full details, and for info on load limits.
Bottom line: we can recycle shingles that would otherwise be placed in the landfill.
|
Asphalt shingles can be ground up and processed; typical end use is for use in asphalt paving. Calgary's recycling efforts for this item are still in the developmental stage and efforts are ongoing.

Dirt, Clean Fill |
Dirt must be primarily soil with no rocks bigger than a volleyball.
Dirt must NOT be mixed with demolition rubble or garbage.
IMPORTANT: Grass Sod is NOT clean fill and does not qualify for the clean fill rate |
12 yard container is provided
Fill container to 18 inches from floor; keep load level for even weight distribution
Equals 4 cubic yards of volume
DO NOT compact dirt
Wet loads or loads in winter should have plastic sheeting placed on floor to facilitate unloading and to prevent "stuck" loads |
The clean fill we haul is valued as topcover in landfills. Occasionally we are able to link up with another end user who can utilize the material for another application. |

Orientated strandboard (OSB), particle boards types, laminated wood products or any "processed" wood product containing glue will NOT qualify for the reduced rate.
Wood must be dimensional lumber only, and contain no garbage, dirt or rubble.
Branches / logs do not qualify |
